Earthquake!

This morning I awoke with the distinct sensation that my bed was wobbling. I could hear shuffling about and shaking in my neighbor's apartments as well. A picture frame fell from my shelf.
Would you believe that we were hit by an Earthquake this morning? 4.7 on the Richter scale! The last earthquake was in 1985--but apparently it was not as strong as this one.
Well, that's something to write home about.

Oh my goodness! I know how that feels... I remember my first one here in Greece. Very scary. I've experienced many since then but they are no less frightening.

Deep breaths. Meditation. A glass of wine. You probably won't experience another one in Copenhagen... unlike us!

Take care

Hey DD!
Great to hear from you! I like the glass of wine suggestions: that would have been great at 6:20 in the morning lol!

Hey,

Yeah, I woke up this morning and my hotel room was shaking. I thought it had been a dream until I got into the office and someone asked me if I had felt the earthquake.

Cheers / Doug

In Jutland we feel quite left out, no earthquake here.

I think I might simulate one in the dead of night, just to appease the children.

I'll yell from the kitchen, while shaking the cupboard and banging the pots, I'll yell: "Don't be alarmed, and stay in your beds - it's just that earthquake!"

:)

Your blog is scrumptious, by the way, I have lingered in your side bar a while, thankyou very much.
Lesley-Ann, the earthquake is more interesting I know, and I am glad that you are safe. You could have experience worse during your trip to Trinidad too, since it is experiencing more and more of these.

I was writing about my massive link dump at the bottom of this post. That is not deliberate. Wordpress is seriously misbehaving these days. If you write a post, but have a sidebar on the blog with a link to someone, Wordpress takes the sidebar link as if it were internal to your single post, which is garbage. My apologies if you thought I was spamming. I was wondering why I was getting all these hits from this post :)
WHOA! I remember my first earthquake in Japan. I was in the throes of awful culture shock and just plain fed up with change in general. When the earth started rumbling beneath me (sleeping Japanese-style on an uncomfortable ass futon on the floor) I had had enough. I sobbed angrily for three hours.

"Even the f#@king EARTH is different here." I wailed.
Hey DMB: You always make me laugh! & Max, don't worry about it, I figured that much and have been using the links as an opportunity to catch up on your work. & Babs--how's life treating you out in Jutland? Do tell!
