blackgirl on mars: notes on a life in copenhagen (or how my alienation brings me closer to people).

Last week I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Aisha Fukushima for DK.DOX on International Peace Day. Aisha Fukushima is a RAPtivist, combining Hip Hop with social activism around the world. I first met Fukushima a few years ago, when we shared an evening of performance at Kimia - a cafe/performance space in Copenhagen's Nørrebro district.

There was some serious Ancestor action going on this past Saturday at Kimia Cafe! I had the PLEASURE  to perform with Aisha Fukushima and her Raptivism project, Afrikan Hip Hop Caravan & Joseph Agami .  The performances were stellar and I am stoked to have been a part of it! Special thanks to Pardis for making this all happen & to all the folks that came out to support us! farvel from DK, Lesley-Ann
